About the RiverHawks
  • The RiverHawks, Rockford's only professional baseball team, play at Road Ranger Stadium, located near the I-90/Riverside Blvd. interchange. The stadium has a seating capacity of 3,279, including suites, terrace boxes and picnic areas. Road Ranger Stadium was built in 2006.
  • The stadium features wide, open-air concourses, a team souvenir store, children's play area, outfield grill and beer garden with a 300-person capacity, and a state-of-the-art scoreboard with full video capabilities.
  • Every seat is a full box seat, with chairbacks, armrests and cupholders.
  • Road Ranger Stadium was voted to have Rockford's best concessions by readers of the Rockford Register Star.
  • The RiverHawks drew more than 100,000 fans for the seventh year in a row in 2010 and sold out nearly one third of their games.
  • Our fan base is families with children 18 and under, homeowners, people with annual household incomes averaging more than $75,000, according to our fan surveys. These are people with discretionary spending power who are making a decision to entertain their families and get the best value for the dollar.
  • The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league for players 27 years old and younger. The league has been running strong since 1993, and has franchises in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania.

    o Less than 30 minutes: Beloit, Janesville, Clinton, Delavan
    o Less than 60 minutes: Elgin, DeKalb, Sycamore, Freeport, Crystal Lake.

      • Among the celebrities seen at RiverHawks games are racing star Danica Patrick, Hall of Famer Ferguson Jenkins, former major-leaguer Tim Raines and local radio personalities Stone and Double-T.

      The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, an independent minor league for players 27 years of age and younger. Teams are located in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
