June 6, 2010 - Returning fan favorite Rich Austin is the hitter RiverHawks fans were most excited to see sign with Rockford, according to the latest poll on the site.
Austin drew 32 percent (602 votes) of 1902 cast in one of the largest turnouts in poll history. Austin edged DH/first baseman Patrick O'Sullivan, who drew 31 percent (585) and former Chicago Cub Randall Simon, who received 23 percent (440) of the vote. Jason James, who holds most RiverHawks career hitting records and appeared in a big-league exhibition game with the Cubs in March, drew 14 percent (275).
