Two more former RiverHawks stay in Frontier League
« Back

February 18, 2010 - Two more players who were 2009 RiverHawks have signed to stay in the team's former league.

Pitcher Kyffin Marcum and infielder Javy Brown will be staying in the Frontier League. Marcum, who finished last season on the coaching staff, will return to the mound with the Normal Cornbelters, a new team. Brown has signed with the Southern Illinois Miners.

Marcum, who spent two years with Rockford, had no record, no saves and a 10.80 ERA in 13 appearances last year. Brown, acquired in a late-season trade with Evansville, played in just five games. He hit .143 without an RBI.
