December 4, 2008 - Veteran minor-league manager Tommy Thompson is the skipper of the Windy City ThunderBolts.
Thompson, a longtime member of the Chicago White Sox organization, replaces interim manager Mike Kashirsky. Kashirsky, a longtime Windy City coach, took over at midseason and led the ThunderBolts to their second straight Frontier League pennant. Thompson becomes the T-Bolts' fourth manager in three seasons.
