September 4, 2008 - A plurality of voters in the most recent online poll correctly predicted that the Frontier League hits record of 144, set by Chillicothe's Jose Rodriguez in 2005, would survive the season.

Almost 46 percent (106) of 232 voters predicted that the record would stand. Joe Anthonsen, who won the batting title and finished with 135 hits, was the choice of 28 percent. Jason James, who had 133 hits, got 26 percent of the vote.
