October 26, 2007 - Early offseason moves in other independent leagues have affected former RiverHawks.

Outfielder Alhaji Turay's 2008 option was picked up by his Can-Am League team, the Quebec Capitales. Another CAL team, the Worchester Tornadoes, released outfielder Rico Santana, a member of Rockford's 2004 Frontier League championship team.

In the independent Northern League, Schaumburg released catcher Mike Landry, another member of the 2004 RiverHawks.

In the United League, Rio Grande Valley general manager Cory Dirksen was promoted to the league office. He is now executive general manager for group sales. Dirksen was one of the RiverHawks' original staff members and their first sales director.
