October 12, 2007 - LOVES PARK, Ill. -On Sept. 22, Rocko the mascot joined the Muscular Dystrophy Association for its annual Stride-N-Ride Family Reunion.
Senator Dave Syverson cut the ribbon and helped kick off the non-competitive walk on Rockford’s Sinnissippi Bike Path. Many walked in support and memory of friends and family members affected by neuromuscular disease. The Annual Stride-N-Ride is one of MDA’s primary local fundraisers, as all money raised at this event will directly benefit those affected by muscular dystrophy throughout Winnebago, Boone, Stephenson, Ogle, Lee, DeKalb and McHenry counties. |
