March 21, 2007 - Traverse City is filling its managerial vacancy from within.
The Beach Bums have promoted hitting coach Jon Cahill, who has spent the last four years in the Frontier League. Cahill replaces veteran indy skipper Jeff Isom, who will manage Milwaukee's Pioneer League affiliate in Helena, Mont.
Cahill, a former Anaheim farmhand, played shortstop for the Washington Wild Things in 2003-04. He retired to become a coach on the traveling Ohio Valley Redcoats' staff in 2005 and was named the league's Coach of the Year.
