Fomer RiverHawk James traded again

October 6, 2011 - Former RiverHawk Jason James has been traded again.

Windy City dealt the four-time all-star to Amarillo of the independent American Association to complete an earlier trade. James reached the Frontier League age limit of 27 on Aug. 30 and could not return to the ThunderBolts next season.

The RiverHawks traded James and closer Brett Durand to the 'Bolts in a deadline deal in August that gained Rockford pitcher Nick Gaudi and future considerations. James is the RiverHawks' all-time leader in hits, home runs, RBI, batting average and several other offensive categories.
