June 5, 2010 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – Saturday’s Fargo-Rockford game at Road Ranger Stadium was suspended because of rain with the RedHawks leading, 4-3. Play will resume at 3:05 p.m. Sunday with the completion of the suspended game. The regularly scheduled game, shortened to seven innings, will follow.

Zach Penprase, Jesse Hoorelbeke and Mike Coles each homered for the RedHawks. RiverHawks center fielder Jason James is 2-for-2 with a pair of RBI doubles.

The gates at Road Ranger Stadium open at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. It’s Costcutters Kids Day, when kids can run the bases after the game and players sign autographs. In addition, kids 12 and under can ride the RiverHawks Express stadium train for free, courtesy of the Illinois Railway Museum and Midwest Rail Junction. Sunday is also Mascot Madness Day. Rocko the RiverHawk will celebrate his birthday with the help of other area mascots.

All tickets for Saturday’s game are considered rain checks and can be redeemed for any remaining 2010 regular-season game.
