RiverHawks activate Knoff; McTamney to DL
« Back

June 1, 2010 - JOLIET, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks have activated pitcher Justin Knoff from the disabled list and sent fellow reliever Mike McTamney to the seven-day DL.

The RiverHawks made the move prior to Monday’s 4-2 loss at Joliet. Knoff, who began the season on the DL because of an oblique strain, made his season debut Monday and retired all four Jackhammers he faced.

McTamney went to the DL because of a posterior rotator strain. McTamney had no record, no saves and a 1.69 earned-run average in three appearances.

The RiverHawks are members of the Northern League, an eight-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 18th season this summer. Advertising and ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255. Games are broadcast live on ESPN 1380 (WTJK-AM) and on ESPN1380.com.
