April 26, 2010 - Former RiverHawks broadcasting/media relations intern Scott Beatty is the new voice of the Sioux Falls Fighting Pheasants.
The independent American Association team announced Monday that Beatty was its new play-by-play broadcaster. Beatty was the RiverHawks' broadcasting intern last year and in addition to his work on the regular-season and Frontier League All-Star Game broadcasts, provided much of the media-relations preparation for the midsummer classic.
Beatty is one of two former RiverHawks interns who are broadcasting with other professional teams. Andrew Africk is part of the broadcast crew for the Lynchburg Hillcats in the Class A Carolina League. |
