RiverHawks announce mini-season dates

February 15, 2010 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – Rockford RiverHawks fans can now guarantee their seats for Opening Night, postgame fireworks, bobbleheads and other great giveaways.

On Monday, the RiverHawks announced their 10- and 20-game mini-season ticket plans. Fans can get the same seat for each night on their plan for as little as $75.

The Big 10 plan includes the opener of the team’s ninth season, May 20 against the Schaumburg Flyers at Road Ranger Stadium, which includes a T-shirt giveaway to commemorate the team’s first season in the Northern League, Dollar Beer Night and postgame fireworks. Other nights on the plan include Magnet Schedule Night (May 22), Friday Night Fireworks (May 28), Rocko Piggy Bank Night (June 5), Logo Baseball Night (June 12), Baseball Cap Night (July 3), Randall Simon Bobblehead Night (July 16), Flashlight Night (July 31), Fleece Blanket Night (Aug. 28) and Fan Appreciation Night (Sept. 2). Weeknight start times are 7:05 p.m. Saturday games start at 6:05 p.m.

The Family Plan features mostly family-friendly 4:05 p.m. games, including May 23 (Picture Frame/Photo Day), May 30 (Kids Character Day), June 6 (Mascot Madness), June 13, July 4 (Team Photo Day), July 18 (Ode to Mom Day), Aug. 1 and Aug. 29. Kids get to run the bases after every Sunday home game, weather permitting. Aug. 12 (Dollar Beer Night) and Aug. 27, the perennially popular RiverHawks Baseball Card Set Night, are also on the Family Plan. The games on this plan match the dates on the popular Rocko’s Kids Club schedule.

Prices for 10-game plans are $110 for home plate box seats, $95 for infield box and $75 for outfield box. Tickets for 20-game plans, which combine the nights on the two plans, are $210 for home plate, $180 for infield and $145 for outfield. Full-season plans and bonus books are also available.

The RiverHawks are members of the Northern League, an eight-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 18th season in 2010.
