May 26, 2009 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – Rain washed out the Rockford RiverHawks’ scheduled home opener Tuesday against the Midwest Sliders of Ypsilanti. The game has been rescheduled as part of a 6:05 p.m. doubleheader Thursday at Road Ranger Stadium.
The RiverHawks’ home opener will now be Wednesday’s 7:05 p.m. game against the Sliders. It’s a Family Value Night. A family of four can get four outfield box seats, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $40.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 17th season this summer. The RiverHawks play their home opener at 7:05 p.m. May 26 against the Midwest Sliders of Ypsilanti. The RiverHawks host the 2009 Frontier League All-Star Game at 7:05 p.m. on July 15.
