RiverHawks’ job fair scheduled for Saturday

April 20, 2009 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks have scheduled their annual job fair for 9-11 a.m. Saturday at Road Ranger Stadium.

The RiverHawks are seeking applicants for all game-day positions. At the job fair, applicants will receive an interview for positions including concessions, security, ushers, maintenance/grounds, team store and parking.

“It’s a fun atmosphere,” general manager Josh Olerud said. “It’s baseball, it’s outside. What better way to work during the summer?”

The minimum age to work for the RiverHawks is 16. Applicants will be asked to provide identification.

Applicants can fill out an application at the job fair, or use the downloadable application on the team website.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 17th season this summer. The RiverHawks will begin their eighth season at 7:05 p.m. May 21 at Windy City and play their home opener at 7:05 p.m. May 26 against the Midwest Sliders of Ypsilanti. The RiverHawks host the 2009 Frontier League All-Star Game at 7:05 p.m. on July 15. Advertising and season-ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255.
