« Back

March 10, 2009 - This week's featured RiverHawks eBay listing is for an autographed 2002 team bat.

Many notable players were part of manager Bob Koopmann's roster in the RiverHawks' inaugural season in Rockford. The approximately two dozen autographs include: pitcher Jason Shelley, who broke the Frontier League strikeout record that season, was named Baseball America magazine's Independent Leagues Player of the Year in 2003 and was later signed by the Brewers; right fielder Rich Austin, nicknamed "The Franchise", is the team's all-time home run king, was the 2004 league Player of the Year, was signed by the Royals, and last year was Italy's home run champion; center fielder Tony Pigott, a two-time All-Star and former Tampa Bay farmhand; third baseman Ben Fjelland, the team's all-time hits and RBI king; second baseman Jake Ciarrachi, now a member of the Chicago Cubs front office.

The bat is a 34-ounce black Mizuno bat signed with silver sharpies.
