November 24, 2008 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – Season-ticket holders’ last chance to keep their seat of choice and to take advantage of early-bird discounts expires Wednesday.
The RiverHawks are offering special discounted rates for fans that purchase 2009 ticket plans before Thanksgiving. This offer is good for renewing and new ticket holders.
“With the Christmas shopping season getting under way this week, buying someone on your list RiverHawks tickets is a great gift,” general manager Josh Olerud said.
Fans that purchase a full-season or mini-season plan and pay for it in full by 5 p.m. Wednesday will receive a 10-percent discount. In addition, fans that buy a season ticket for the full 48-game regular-season schedule will receive a free ticket to the 2009 Frontier League All-Star Game, scheduled for July 15.
The only way to guarantee seating for the highest-profile sporting event to hit the Stateline in years is by purchasing a 2009 ticket plan. Mini-season plans include five, 10 or 20 games and an upgrade to all-star tickets is available.
Renewing season-ticket holders can keep their seat location for 2009 if they put down a non-refundable, 25-percent discount by 5 p.m. Wednesday. When the RiverHawks box office reopens on Dec. 1, season-ticket holders who have not yet renewed will lose their right to renew their seat of choice. The RiverHawks sold out nearly a quarter of their home schedule in 2008 and seats for weekend games were scarce, so fans should act now to avoid missing great giveaways and Friday night fireworks.
The box office is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office will be closed Nov. 27-30 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 17th season in 2009. The RiverHawks will begin their eighth season in May and host the 2009 Frontier League All-Star Game at 7:05 p.m. on July 15.
