Bring the RiverHawks to school
« Back

October 22, 2008 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks believe that one should strive to be champions on the baseball field and in the classroom.

Now that school is in session, the Riverhawks would like to have the opportunity to come to your school to meet, greet and share a story or two. Maybe you would like to have "Rocko" make an appearance. Whether it is "Reading Day", "Career Day" or any other special occasion, the Rockford RiverHawks would like to be a part of it.

“This is an important off-season for us,” RiverHawks director of operations Chris Daleo said. “We have a lot of work to do to prepare for this upcoming season. We have the All-Star game and the schedule is out. We would like to share all of this with the kids in the community who want to hear about RiverHawks baseball.”

Appearances can booked on a first-come-first-served basis or by calling the RiverHawks at (815) 885-2255.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 17th season in 2009. The RiverHawks will begin their eighth season on May 21 and host the 2009 Frontier League All-Star Game at 7:05 p.m. on July 15. Advertising and season-ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255. Fans can also visit the RiverHawks online at www.rockfordriverhawks.com.
