October 6, 2008 - Former Rockford RiverHawk Bo Flowers had a fourth-quarter fumble recovery on Saturday to help the University of Illinois football team finish off Michigan in a 45-20 win.
Flowers recovered Martavious Odoms's fumble on a kickoff return and brought it back 10 yards with 7:25 left. That set up a three-play, 16-yard drive that ended in Juice Williams' two-yard touchdown run.
Flowers played for the RiverHawks in 2006. The outfielder was Detroit's fifth-round pick in 2002 and also played for the Chicago Cubs organization. |
