August 19, 2008 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Frontier League’s most-powerful team hit another pair of home runs and Florence starter Gary Lee won a pitcher’s duel on Tuesday as the Freedom beat the Rockford RiverHawks, 4-1.

John Welch hit his ninth home run and Garth McKinney hit his 17th for the Freedom, who have a league-high 115 homers this season. Robbie Knapp hit a first-pitch, leadoff home run to left field in the second inning, his eighth of the season, for Rockford’s only run.
