June 21, 2008 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks placed right-hander Shawn Balteff on the disabled list today.
Balteff was forced to leave Thursday’s game against Evansville due to a strained oblique muscle in his right throwing arm.
The reliever is 1-1 with a 2.25 ERA and one save in seven appearances.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 16th season this summer.
