May 27, 2008 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – It’s time for the kids to play ball.

The RiverHawks will host two youth baseball camps, the first session running from June 16-19 and the second taking place Aug. 18-21. The camps are open to kids ages 13 and under.

Each day’s session runs from 8 a.m. until noon. Activities include stretching and form running, base running and throwing, and a specific skill for each session. At the end of each day, campers get to play ball on the field at Road Ranger Stadium.

All participants receive a Kids Club Pack, a T-shirt and a ticket voucher for a RiverHawks game.

RiverHawks manager Bob Koopmann will run the camps, and campers will work in groups of ten with a RiverHawks player.

Fees for one session are $50 and $90 for both sessions. Any questions should be directed to Brad Sholes at (815) 885-2255 ext. 11 or [email protected]. Entry forms are available online by clicking here and at Road Ranger Stadium.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 16th season this summer. Advertising and season-ticket information is available by calling the box office at (815) 885-2255. Most games are broadcast live on WNTA (1330 AM) and the internet.
