March 3, 2008 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – Perennial favorites such as fireworks, baseball cards and bobbleheads are among the items baseball fans can get at Road Ranger Stadium this season.

The Rockford RiverHawks announced their promotional calendar for their 51-game home schedule, which begins with fireworks and four straight nights fans can keep track of the date.

Opening Night is Wednesday, May 21, when the RiverHawks host River City. Everyone in the stadium that night, as well as the first 1,000 the following night, will receive a full-color RiverHawks Souvenir Calendar sponsored by the Clocktower Resort and CoCo Key indoor water resort. FatWallet.com sponsors postgame fireworks.

On Friday and Saturday, May 23-24, the first 2,500 each night will receive a RiverHawks magnet schedule.

Fridays and Saturdays feature premium giveaway items, while children’s items are scheduled for Sundays. Standard gametimes are 7:05 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 6:05 p.m. Sunday.

Partial-season ticket plans start at just $40 and include five-, 10- and 20-game plans. Full-season plans start at $484. Seats for individual games are not yet available, so the only way to guarantee a seat for one of these popular nights is by purchasing a ticket plan.

Other top giveaway nights are: Culver’s Baseball Card Nights (May 30, June 13, July 18 and Aug. 1), T-Shirt Night (May 31), The Hemmens Cultural Center Cap Night (July 3), Finnegan’s RV Floppy Hat Night (July 26), University of Wisconsin-Platteville Duffel Bag Night (Aug. 22), Rock Valley College Fleece Blanket Night (Aug. 23).

The RiverHawks previously announced their Hall of Fame series of five bobbleheads featuring former Chicago Cubs greats – Ernie Banks (May 24), Billy Williams (June 28), Fergie Jenkins (July 19), Ryne Sandberg (Aug. 2) and Ron Santo (Aug. 9).

Several popular promotions return to the weekly rotation. The FatWallet.com Friday Night Fireworks series is back for another season, as is Miller Lite/104.9-the X Dollar Beer Night on Thursdays and New Vision/Applebee’s Reading Club Nights on Wednesdays. Non-profits have the opportunity to sell seats as a fundraiser on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 16th season this summer. Advertising and season-ticket information is available by calling the box office at (815) 885-2255. Most games are broadcast live on WNTA (1330 AM) and the internet.
