February 13, 2008 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – A great way to become a Rockford RiverHawks insider is to get inside the costume of the mascot.
The Rockford RiverHawks announced today that they are holding auditions for a weekday mascot performer. Rocko the RiverHawk makes more than 100 appearances a year outside the stadium, many of them during the business week. The team is seeking someone available to make Rocko appearances 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays. Weeknight and weekend events may also be scheduled.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 16th season in 2008. Advertising and season-ticket information is available by calling the box office at (815) 885-2255. Most games are broadcast live on WNTA (1330 AM) and the internet.
