July 24, 2007 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks open a six-game home stand with promotions ranging from fun fests to fireworks.
On Tuesday July 24, Rockford will host another Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest in the parking lot at Road Ranger Stadium. Three hours prior for the 7:05 p.m. first pitch, fans are welcome to enjoy the free entertainment. The Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest includes pitching and hitting cages, a t-ball stadium, and a traveling minor league baseball museum. It also marks another Ladies Night at the ballpark, sponsored by Ronnie Gators, Clodius, and Curves. There will be free wine tasting all night, and the first 100 women into the park receive a free one-month membership to Curves.
Wednesday will be replica youth jersey night, courtesy of Dr. Pepper and WREX. The first 1,000 kids into the ballpark receive free replica youth RiverHawks jersey shirts.
Thursday is another dollar-beer night at Road Ranger Stadium, presented by Miller Lite and WXRX. Also, the RiverHawks will sport camouflage jerseys in honor of Military Appreciation Night.
Fireworks will light up the Loves Park Sky following Friday nights game, as Fatwallet.com presents another fireworks show at Road Ranger Stadium. The first 1,000 fans into the park also receive 2005 RiverHawks logo lapel pins, courtesy of Mincemoyer Jewelry, WIFR and BOB-FM.
Saturday, the first 1,000 fans into Road Ranger Stadium receive the perfect back to school gift. The University of Wisconsin-Platteville and WZOK present free backpacks to early-arriving fans.
Sunday is another Feldco Family Night at the ballpark. The game starts at 6:05 p.m. and kids are invited to run the bases following the game. Also, players will be available to sign autographs, presented by B103.
All games this week start at 7:05 p.m., except Sunday night, which will be a 6:05 p.m. first pitch.
The RiverHawks are the Western Division champions of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 15th season in 2007.
