Fireworks, holidays, buyout highlight upcoming promos

July 13, 2007 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The RiverHawks open the second half of the 2007 season with a six-game homestand full of promotions.

Play begins on Friday night at 7:05 with a game against River City. It marks Halloween in July at the park, where fans are encouraged to celebrate the autumn holiday. Fans that arrive in a Halloween costume receive half-price tickets. There will also be trick-or-treating on the concourse all evening. Immediately following the game, fireworks will light up the Loves Park sky with another Fatwallet.com fireworks show. Early arrivals also receive 2007 Rockford RiverHawks team calendars, presented by the Coco Key Water Resort at the Clock Tower Resort.

On Saturday, the first 1,000 fans into Road Ranger Stadium receive Rich Austin 2004 Throwback Bobble head dolls, courtesy of Dr. Pepper and BOB-FM. We will celebrate Faith Night at Road Ranger Stadium. Following the game, Road Ranger Stadium regular Amanda Torp-Pederson will perform a free Christian-rock concert.

The Power Connection has agreed to buy every seat in the stadium and add a postgame fireworks show to the schedule for the RiverHawks’ 6:05 p.m. game on Sunday against River City.

Any individual can come to Road Ranger Stadium in advance of the game date and pick up to four tickets to share with friends and family, courtesy of The Power Connection.

Sunday is another Feldco Family Night. Kids are invited to run the bases following the game. Also, players will be available to sign autographs, presented by B103.

Prior to Monday night’s game, Rockford coaches and players will run another youth clinic at Road Ranger Stadium. Fans of all ages are invited onto the field before the game, for a free baseball clinic presented by Saturn of Rockford and WREX. Also, the cost of select concession items will be cut in half.

Tuesday night is Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day. It also marks another Ladies Night at the ballpark, sponsored by Ronnie Gators, Clodius, and Curves. There will be free wine tasting all night, and the first 100 women into the park receive a one-month membership to Curves.

On Wednesday, The RiverHawks host its third “Hawks go to Hollywood” promotion. Following the game, fans are welcome to stay and enjoy baseball classic “Sandlot” on the video board. The first 1,000 fans into Road Ranger Stadium also receive RiverHawks movie posters. The evening is presented by Rochelle Printing, Eagle 96.7, and Culvers. It will also be dollar-beer night at the ballpark, presented by Miller Lite and WXRX.

All games this week start at 7:05 p.m., except Sunday and Wednesday nights.

The RiverHawks are the Western Division champions of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 15th season in 2007.
