Thunder sticks highlight upcoming promos

June 19, 2007 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – Fireworks will not be the only noise makers this week at Road Ranger Stadium.

The first 1,000 fans through the gates at Road Ranger Stadium on Tuesday receive RiverHawks Thunder sticks, courtesy of Window World and WZOK. It also marks another Ladies Night at the ballpark, sponsored by Ronnie Gators, Clodius, and Curves. There will be free wine tasting all night, and the first 100 women into the park receive a free one-week membership to Curves.

On Wednesday, The RiverHawks host its second “Hawks go to Hollywood” promotion. Following the game, fans are welcome to stay and enjoy “A League of Their Own” on the video board. The first 1,000 fans into Road Ranger Stadium also receive Rockford movie posters, similar to the movie. The evening is presented by Rochelle Printing and Culvers.

Thursday is another dollar-beer night at Road Ranger Stadium. Also, the RiverHawks will sport camouflage jersey’s in honor of Military Appreciation Night. Thursday is also Jimmy Buffet night. All evening, Buffet’s music will be played throughout the park and following the game there will be a live cover band playing in the Miller Lite Beer Garden, sponsored by WXRX.

The second Fatwallet.com fireworks show will be Friday night. Immediately following the games, fireworks will light up the Loves Park sky. The first 1,000 fans into the park also receive 2004 RiverHawks logo lapel pins, presented by Mincemoyer Jewelry, WIFR, and BOB FM.

Saturday marks the second bobble head night of the year. The first 1,000 fans to enter Road Ranger Stadium receive a Jason Shelley 2003 Throwback Bobble head, sponsored by LaSalle Bank and BOB FM.

Sunday is another Feldco Family Night at the ballpark. The game starts at 6:05 p.m. and kids are invited to run the bases following the game. Also, players will be available to sign autographs, presented by B103.

All games this week start at 7:05 p.m., except Wednesday and Sunday nights.

The RiverHawks are the Western Division champions of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 15th season in 2007.
