Baseball is back

March 20, 2007 - LOVES PARK, Ill. - Baseball is back at RiverHawks Stadium.

The ballpark's gates opened for the first time this year on Monday, when Rockford College's baseball team hosted Beloit College in the Regents' home opener. The Bucs rallied for five runs in the seventh inning to beat the Regents, 7-5.

Rockford College will play its full home schedule at RiverHawks Stadium. Other events in addition to the RiverHawks' 51 home games include the state prep supersectionals.

Tim Rowe homered in the first inning for Rockford. Ryan Whitcom doubled in the tying and go-ahead runs in the Beloit seventh.
