January 15, 2007 - Rocko the RiverHawk was one of a number of local and regional mascots who showed up at the MetroCentre on Friday to wish Hammy the IceHog a happy eighth birthday.
Rocko was joined by the famous Racing Sausages from the Milwaukee Brewers, Southpaw from the Chicago White Sox and Tommy the Hawk from the Chicago BlackHawks. In addition, Vinny from the Rock River Raptors and Swede E. Bear from Sweedish American Hospital took place in the festivities.
"“It was a good opportunity for the kids to come out – there was a dance party – and hang out with the mascots," RiverHawks merchandise director and Rocko wrangler Erin Colombi said. "Many of them they’ve only seen on TV.”
Rocko took part in the mascot broomball game during first intermission. He also made sure to bring Hammy a birthday gift - a stuffed Rocko, of course.
