January 11, 2007 - LOVES PARK, Ill. - Do you think you have what it takes to be a Rockford RiverHawk?
You’ll get your chance to put your bat – or arm, or glove – where your mouth is at the RiverHawks’ open tryout May 5 at RiverHawks Stadium. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and tryouts begin at 9 a.m. The registration fee is $50 and includes a tryout camp T-shirt.
Players will be evaluated by members of the RiverHawks staff. Those selected will be invited to join the RiverHawks for spring training.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 15th season in 2007.
