October 18, 2006 - Former Rockford RiverHawks have won championships in three different leagues this season.

Scott Sobkowiak became the latest when Lancaster swept its way to the independent Atlantic League pennant. He joins Rich Austin, Justin Dowdy and Curt Borland as alumni celebrating in 2006.

The Barnstormers swept the Bridgeport Bluefish in a best-of-five series in the Atlantic League. Sobkowiak got the Game 2 start, his only postseason appearance, and lasted four innings in a no-decision. Visiting Lancaster won, 9-8, in 12 innings on Sept. 30. Sobkowiak was 9-7 with a 4.61 ERA during the regular season.

Sobkowiak and Austin were on the postseason roster for the RiverHawks' 2004 Frontier League championship. This year, Austin won the Northern League pennant with Fargo-Moorhead. Dowdy and Borland won the United League title with Alexandria.
