September 6, 2006 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks begin the playoffs tonight at RiverHawks Stadium. They are hosting the Evansville Otters for the first two games of the best-of-five Frontier League Division Series. Should the series go to a fifth and final game, Rockford would host that as well on Sunday, September 18.

The RiverHawks want to encourage the fans to come out and see exciting playoff action. Tonight’s game is Team Photo Night, sponsored by 104.9—The X. Fans will be greeted at the gate with a copy of the 2006 RiverHawks team photo.

Game Two on Thursday provides another Thirsty Thursday, where fans can get $1 draft beer all night long, thanks to Miller Lite and 104.9—The X.

Game Five on Sunday, if necessary, would be another Family Night at the ballpark. Kids will get to run the bases following the game, and families can enjoy great deals, getting four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for just $40.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 10-team independent professional baseball league in its 14th season. Advertising, ticket and suite information is available by calling the box office at (815) 885-2255. All games are broadcast live on WRHL-FM, 102.3 – the Hub and online at www.rockfordriverhawks.com.
