RiverHawks activate Dutton, release Von Tungeln

June 24, 2006 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks today announced they have activated shortstop Brad Dutton from the disabled list. They released catcher Cory Von Tungeln to make room on the roster.

Dutton was placed on the 14-day DL on June 10 because of a strain in his upper right hamstring. The true rookie is 1-for-12 with a RBI. The Australian’s arrival was delayed because of visa problems.

Von Tungeln played in 11 games, hitting .188 with no home runs and no RBI.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 10-team independent professional baseball league in its 14th season.
