RiverHawks to meet Parrotheads

June 14, 2006 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks will introduce their mascot, Rocko, to some Parrotheads next week.

The RiverHawks are hosting Jimmy Buffett Parrothead Night at the Ballpark at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, June 22. The gates at RiverHawks Stadium open at 5 p.m.

Fans are invited to the beer garden in right field for $1 Miller drafts, $2 cheeseburgers and $3 margaritas. Buffett tribute singer Tony Amber will perform a concert at 5:30 p.m. Live parrots will be available for pictures. Fans are encouraged to dress in tropical attire.

Fans who purchase tickets in advance can win two free tickets to Buffett’s Aug. 5 concert at the Tweeter Center in Tinley Park, Ill.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 10-team independent professional baseball league in its 14th season.
