Daleo coached the Continental Basketball Association's Rockford Lightning for four seasons, from the 2002-03 campaign until it ceased operations in 2006. Daleo, a Rockford area resident, also was a Lightning assistant for two years.
Daleo was named CBA Coach of the Year in 2002-03, was an 13-time Coach of the Month selection and was a five-time All-Star coach. After he left the Lightning, Daleo coached the CBA’s Minot Skyrockets each of the last two seasons. Daleo also is the American consultant/scout to the Busan KTF Magic Wings, a member of the 10-team professional Korean Basketball League. Daleo has also coached in the college ranks, with a stay at Barat College as head coach in 1999-2002. He led the team to an NAIA D1 Final Four appearance during the 2001-2002 season.
