Doubleheader tonight; games begin at 6:05pm

July 9, 2009 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks’ game Wednesday against Traverse City was postponed because of rain. The teams will make up the rainout as part of a doubleheader on Tonight scheduled for 6:05 p.m. at Road Ranger Stadium. If you currently hold a ticket for last night's game it is good for both games tonight.

Thursday’s Guns N’ Hoses charity softball game between members of the Rockford fire and police department has been moved up one hour to 3:05 p.m. The game will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Harlem Community Center and the National Fire Sprinkler Association.

Thursday is also a Miller Lite/104.9 – the X Dollar Beer Night. The RiverHawks will also be celebrating the life and career of Michael Jackson with "King of Pop" night.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 17th season. The RiverHawks host the 2009 Frontier League All-Star Game at 7:05 p.m. on July 15. Advertising and ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255.
