LOVES PARK, Ill. – Rockford RiverHawks fans 12 and under can bank on a good time this weekend.
The team announced on Monday its Rocko’s Kids Club Kickoff event, scheduled for 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at Riverside Community Bank. Prizes from Kids Club Riverside Community Bank will be given away at the free event.
Mascot Rocko the RiverHawk, manager Rich Austin and pitcher Brett Scarpetta will be on hand to greet fans and sign autographs. Hot dogs, chips, cookies and beverages will be served at the event. Kids can even challenge a RiverHawk to a showdown on a baseball video game at the bank.
Club members can register for prizes from Riverside Community Bank. New members who join the club on Saturday and open a Small Fortune Savings account of at least $5 will have their initial deposit matched, up to $10, by Riverside Community Bank. In addition, in a limited-time promotion, parents who register for a 10-game mini-season plan can get a free Kids Club membership for each adult plan purchased.
The Kids Club costs just $20 and includes tickets to 10 games, a membership T-shirt and other perks. Adult ten-game plans start at just $63.
“A family of four can get tickets to 10 of our top promotional nights of the season for just $126,” RiverHawks general manager Brad Sholes said. “This is one of our top ticket promotions every year for families. It makes our affordable family fun even more affordable, especially for larger families. It’s great for the family because they get perks of season-ticket holders, while the kids get to take advantage of our youth events, including youth clinics and meet-and-greets with players. This is a great opportunity for anyone in the family – grandparents, aunts and uncles.”
