June 22, 2007 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks announced today that they have released their Opening Night starter as well as one of their catchers.
The RiverHawks released pitcher John Gragg and catcher Robert Perkins. Gragg, a veteran formerly with the Kansas City organization, was 2-3 with a 4.97 ERA in seven appearances. Perkins, formerly an Atlanta farmhand, hit .244 with no home runs and three RBI in 11 games.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 15th season.
