RiverHaws acquire new outfielder

June 30, 2009 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks announced on Tuesday the signing of outfielder Brandon Romans.

Romans is a true rookie from the University of Central Florida. He was an all-Conference-USA Second Team selection. In 2009, his senior season, he batted .333 and led the team in home runs (14), RBI (49), total bases (116), slugging (.595) and walks (25).

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 17th season this summer.
