February 18, 2009 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks announced Wednesday an expanded partnership with Cousin’s Bar & Grill and its new sister establishment, 2nd Cousin’s.

As part of the partnership, the right-field beer garden at Road Ranger Stadium has been renamed Cousin’s In The Outfield. 2nd Cousin’s is now the team’s official postgame party headquarters.

“Cousin’s Bar and Grill, and now 2nd Cousin’s Bar and Grill, have always maintained and valued our business relationships with Rockford’s professional sports franchises,” said Bob Ace, Cousin’s/2nd Cousin’s director of marketing and advertising. “Today, we are pleased to announce the official opening of this beautiful new property (2nd Cousin’s), and our eagerly anticipated partnership with the RiverHawks for the 2009 season."

The original Cousin’s is located at 510 S. Perryville Rd. in Rockford. 2nd Cousin’s, which opened this week, is at 6246 E. Riverside Blvd. in Loves Park, and is just two miles from the stadium.

“In addition, we look forward to opening another new Cousin’s location on Opening Day 2009,” Ace said. “Cousin’s In The Outfield will offer all-new signature food and beverage items for ‘Hawks fans to enjoy. It’s an exciting time for all of us at 2nd Cousin’s, and the RiverHawks are a big part of the reason for the excitement.”
