September 21, 2009 - Former Rockford RiverHawk Matt Hagen is headed to the playoffs in the independent Atlantic League.
Hagen hit .317, third in the league, with 10 home runs and 75 RBI for Somerset. He was 1-for-4 on Sunday as the Patriots lost, 5-4, to York in their last regular-season game. Somerset had the league's best record, 86-54, and won both halves in the Freedom Division.
Hagen played for the RiverHawks' last playoff team, in 2007. |
