August 12, 2009 - Joe Anthonsen (2006-08) was 2-for-4 on Tuesday in Sioux Falls’ 6-4 loss to St. Paul in the independent American Association. Anthonsen is hitting .319 with no home runs and 31 RBI. He won the Frontier League batting crown last year.
In Serie A1, the Italian professional league, Fortitudo Bologna is heading the finals with former Frontier League Player of the Year Rich Austin (2002-04). Austin is hitting .299 with seven home runs and 31 RBI. Bologna will play San Marino in the finals, scheduled to begin Friday.
