Former all-star James traded
« Back

April 18, 2008 - Former Rockford RiverHawk Frank James has been reunited with his old Rockford general manager.

The San Angelo Colts picked up James on Wednesday in a trade that sent pitcher Chris Weast to independent United League foe Alexandria. San Angelo's GM is former RiverHawks executive Mike Babcock.

James, a six-year veteran, was a two-time Frontier League all-star for the RiverHawks in his two-and-a-half years with Rockford. Last year, he was 9-5 with a 3.95 ERA and 82 strikeouts in 95 2/3 innings. The Aces won the pennant.
