Former closer retires
« Back

April 18, 2008 - Former RiverHawk Jason Baca retired this week.
Baca had gone to River City following the season as the player to be named in the Ben Brockman trade last August. In his lone professional season, Baca was 4-2 with eight saves and a 2.03 earned-run average in 30 appearances. Baca took over as the closer last season after Mike Marksbury was picked up by Milwaukee at the all-star break.
