Two Frontier Leaguers signed by MLB organizations
« Back

March 1, 2007 - Two Frontier League players are headed to minor-league camp in March.

The Kansas City Royals have signed Windy City infielder Anthony Seratelli and the Pittsburgh Pirates have picked up Washington shortstop Mike Ambrose.

Seratelli hit .286 with a team-best six home runs and 39 RBI and stole 28 bases for the ThunderBolts.

Ambrose never appeared in a Frontier League game. The Wild Things signed the true rookie less than two months ago. He completed his eligibility at North Carolina-Charlotte last season. He hit .366 and was an all-Atlantic 10 Conference selection.
