January 15, 2007 - A former Frontier League rookie of the year has announced his retirement and two Frontier Leaguers are on their way to the independent United League.
Traverse City announced the retirement of third baseman Nick Batkoski, who won the 2005 ROY award with Ohio Valley.
Windy City traded catcher Jason Mann to San Angelo of the UL for a player to be named. Meanwhile, River City dealt lefty Brian Johnson to Laredo of the UL for utilityman Brad Hough. |
