« Back

November 6, 2006 - Former Frontier League all-star Phil Warren is the Gateway Grizzlies' new manager.

Warren, who played three seasons for the Grizzlies, replaces Danny Cox, who resigned last month. Warren totaled six years in the Frontier League and is second on the all-time hits list, at 420. He reached the league age limit of 27 following the 2005 season and spent 2006 as the team's director of player personnel.

Warren's new pitching coach is former River City skipped Randy Martz.
