New manager blows into Windy City
« Back

September 27, 2006 - Andy Haines is the new manager of the Windy City ThunderBolts.

The 'Bolts announced today that they had hired Haines to replace Brent Bowers, out after two sub-.500 seasons in Crestwood. Haines had been the hitting coach for Gary of the Northern League. He worked under manager Greg Taggert, who was also Haines' manager when they were on the same coaching staff with the Dubois County Dragons in 2002. The Dragons won the Frontier League West that season.

Windy City has not had a winning record since it moved from the Heartland League to the Frontier League for the 1999 season.
