'Hawks open six-game homestand Thursday

July 19, 2011 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks return to Road Ranger Stadium at 7:05 p.m. Thursday to begin a three-game series against the Washington Wild Things. It is the first meeting between the two clubs in Loves Park this season.

Thursday is $1 Beer and Soda Night, sponsored by RBI’s Bar and Grill and Miller Lite. Come out to the ballpark and enjoy an ice cold draft beer or fountain soda. Sixteen ounce bottles of beer are also available for only $2.

Friday is Baseball Hat Giveaway Night, sponsored by Gerber Collision. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a RiverHawks cap, thanks to Gerber Collision. Friday is also Ladies Night. All ladies can enjoy an $8 outfield box ticket for only $5.

Both games begin at 7:05 p.m.

Saturday is Scout Campout Night, sponsored by Sysco. Local boy and girl scout troops are invited to watch the RiverHawks game, and then camp out on the field. The Outfield Campout Package is $20 per person and includes a ticket, food voucher, special Scout Night patch, movie on the video board, late night bonfire with smores, and a continental breakfast the next morning.

The Game Only Package is $14 per person and includes a ticket, food voucher and the Scout Night patch.

Saturday’s game begins at 6:05 p.m. Gates open for all RiverHawks games one hour prior to first pitch.

The homestand continues at 4:05 p.m. Sunday with a game one of a three-game series against the Windy City ThunderBolts. It is a Family Fun Day with $2 tickets for children 12 and under. Kids can also run the bases and get player autographs on the concourse after the game.

Monday is Power Connection Buyout Night, sponsored by Power Connection. Buyout vouchers are available at the Road Ranger Stadium box office. Fans can redeem a voucher for up to four free tickets. There is a limit of one voucher per person. The game begins at 7:05 p.m.

The series, and six-game homestand wraps up at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday with the second and final Splash Day. Fans can cool off at Road Ranger Stadium with a Slip ‘n Slide and pools along the concourse. In addition, mini water guns will be handed out at the front gates.

All tickets, excluding the Diamond Deck, are $4 for Splash Day.
