November 8, 2010 - LOVES PARK, Ill. – Wallbangers Baseball and Softball Academy and the Rockford RiverHawks are pleased to announce that RiverHawks outfielder Richard Austin and former RiverHawks Tony Pigott and Elvin Milan have signed with the facility as lead instructors.

Austin will specialize in teaching hitting philosophies and first baseman techniques. Pigott will specialize in team practices, hitting and outfield play while Milan will instruct players on the skills associated with the catching position.

"We have formed this group because we can bring a lot of baseball knowledge and experience to the youth of Rockford,” Austin said. "It is important for us that we have the opportunity to pass down this knowledge and give something back."

Wallbangers is located inside the Pro Performance Indoor facility, located on Clinton Drive in Loves Park. The RiverHawks will host a free clinic for baseball and softball players on Sunday. The clinic for ages 8-14 will be from 1-3 p.m. and the high-school clinic will be from 3-5 p.m. Any questions or comments concerning Wallbangers or the free clinic, please call Chris Daleo at the RiverHawks office, (815) 885-2255.

Advertising and season-ticket information for the RiverHawks’ 10th season is available by calling (815) 885-2255. Games are broadcast live on ESPN 1380 (WTJK-AM) and on ESPN1380.com. Fans can also visit the RiverHawks online at www.rockfordriverhawks.com.
